Priesthill (Zion)

Our church building is located on Kesh Road, Maze, just outside Hillsborough. A Methodist society has existed here since 1786. In 1838 the church was built on the current site.

The Main Hall accommodates large gatherings as well as regular, weekly groups including; a Bowling Club, Boys’ Brigade, Girls’ Brigade, Youth Club and Sunday School. In recent years a Messy Church ‘Shine’ initiative has extended ministry to local families with children with additional needs.

The Women’s MWI and CE meet in the Minor Hall. The teenage BELIEVE meet for fellowship and breakfasts. A Bible Study is combined with the nearby Broomhedge Methodist Church.

A prayer group meets before Sunday Morning Worship which is led by a team of circuit Ministers and lay preachers. Fellowship continues with refreshments. Additional Services/events are also arranged across the Church Circuit.

The church is mission minded: ‘Centred in Christ – Caring For People’ and supports a number of charities both financially, prayerfully and practically. There is a strong pastoral team who connect with and minister to the families.
